    Description

For auction is a very nice piece of art pottery made by The Fulper Pottery Company of Flemington, NJ. I call this a Mission style bowl and it is done in one of Fulper's most unique glazes. I would call this a "Blue Flambé w Blue Crystalline Glaze". The bowl is a nice size as it 7 1/2” in diameter and is 3" tall. The bottom foot is 2 1/4" in diameter.
The bowl is a very pleasing Mission style shape. It displays a very beautiful blue crystalline glaze with a flambé top edge. This coloring is set against a matte gray glaze with blue speckles.
The glaze rolls over from the inside lip and onto the outside causing a beautiful flambé border at the top. The matte gray background glaze continues 2/3 rds of the way down to to the underside bottom. This is a unique glaze as I have never seen this combo before and I have sold a lot of Fulper through the years. The blue crystalline crystals are more plentiful on 1 side of the bowl looking in than the other side. This is a very pretty bowl.
The bowl is signed on the bottom with the earliest known Fulper Mark. The bowl has the "Fulper" ink stamp mark inside a squatty rectangle. This mark dates this piece to have been made circa 1909-1916. I feel it is a very early piece and was made more like circa 1909-1911. This is known as shape number 17 in the Fulper catalog pages.
This piece is for that Fulper collector looking for those unusual and rare glaze combinations. As we collectors know, Fulper is all about the glazes. This bowl exemplifies that statement. It's a great glaze with lots of things going on. I'm sure the collector will not be disappointed.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of the year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
    merchandise
    unless it is paid for.
    They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.7% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.7%. This is an increase of 8.8% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.7% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
